Our tours are guided by knowledgeable locals with a deep love for Alaska's rich history and culture.  Many tours are designed to accommodate tourists arriving via cruise ships, and guests can choose their drop off location at the conclusion of most tours. We look forward to showing you our town!

Seward Spring Highlights Tour

Spend an hour with one of our local guides as you explore Seward and learn about the history and culture of our quaint coastal town, then enjoy the Alaska SeaLife Center at your leisure. 

  • Length of tour: 1 hour tour + independent time at Alaska SeaLife Center
  • Cost: Adult $79, child age 3-12 $49, under 3 is free
  • Departure time(s): 8:30/11:30/1:30 from Apr 22, 2024 to May 27, 2024  (only available when Exit Glacier is closed)
  • Departure location: Cruise Terminal when a ship is in port. If no ship is in port, private pick up can be arranged.
  • Drop-off location: After the Historical City Tour, guests are dropped at the Alaska SeaLife Center to explore independently (guests can then utilize the free shuttle service as needed to tour downtown Seward or return to the Ship Terminal)
  • What’s included: Luggage storage, admission to Alaska SeaLife Center

Historical City Tour

 

Spend an hour with one of our local guides as you explore Seward and learn about the history and culture of our quaint coastal town.

  • Departure time(s): 11:30am daily from May 10, 2024 to Sept 16, 2024

  • Departure location: Train Depot

  • Drop-off location: On Request

  • Stops/highlights: All tours include Mile-0 Marker for the Iditarod Trail and the Mariners Memorial, plus a variety of local highlights that may include murals around Seward (the unofficial mural capital of Alaska), plus fisheries and other important heritage and economic sights of interest. 

  • What’s included: Luggage storage

Historical Seward & Mural Walk

Spend an hour with one of our local guides as you explore Seward and learn about the history and culture of our quaint coastal town. Then, spend an hour with a local artist getting an immersive mural experience; learn about the artist's vision, process and the stories behind the imagery that have made Seward the mural capital of Alaska. A great way to gain a deeper appreciation for our culture and history.

  • Length of tour: 2 hours (1 hour in shuttle, 1 hour walking)

  • Cost: Adult $94, child age 3-12 $54, under 3 is free

  • Departure time(s): 11:30am daily from May 10, 2024 to Sept 16, 2024

  • Departure location: Train Depot

  • Drop-off location: Alaska SeaLife Center (Downtown)

Seward Deluxe Tour

This 5-hour tour makes the most of your day by getting the complete Seward experience! The Seward Deluxe Tour includes the Historical City Tour, lunch,  admission to the Alaska SeaLife Center and a visit to Exit Glacier and the Kenai Fjords National Park. This tour is designed to work in conjunction with the Coastal Classic's arrival and departure time.

  • Length of tour: 5 hours
  • Cost: Adult $139, child age 3-12 $89, under 3 is free
  • Departure time(s): 11:30 am
  • Departure Location: Train Depot
  • Drop-off location: On Request
  • Stops/Highlights: Historical City Tour, sit-down lunch at Ray’s Waterfront (Wednesday-Sunday)* or Boxed Lunch (Monday, Tuesday), Alaska SeaLife Center, Exit Glacier and the Kenai Fjords National Park. Exit Glacier is the Gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park. While at Exit Glacier, enjoy the nature center, speak to the park rangers about the history and geography of the area, explore the nature trails or take a quick hike to the lookout point. *Sit-down lunch is only available Wed-Sun due to Restaurant Hours
  • What’s included: Luggage storage, lunch, Admission to Alaska Sea Life Center and entrance to Exit Glacier/Kenai Fjords National Park.

History & Glacier Combo Tour

An exciting new 2.5 hour tour that includes the Historical City Tour and a trip out to Exit Glacier. Exit Glacier is the Gateway to the Kenai Fjords National Park and the only land-based entrance to the park. While at Exit Glacier, enjoy the nature center, speak to the Park Rangers about the history and geography of the area, explore the nature trails or take a hike up to the lookout point. This combo tour is perfect for guests who have limited time in port or those that want to have time on their own in Seaward while still enjoying some guided history.

  • Length of tour: 2.5 hours
  • Cost: Adult $79, child age 3-12 $49, under 3 is free
  • Departure time(s): 8:30am daily May 28, 2024 to Sep 23, 2024
  • Departure Location: Cruise Terminal when a ship is in port. If no ship is in port, private pick up can be arranged.
  • Drop-off location: Cruise Terminal or Train Depot
  • Stops/Highlights: Historical City tour plus 1 hour at Exit Glacier.
  • What’s included: Luggage storage, Kenai Fjords Park entrance
